Police apprehend Russia, gang leader that abducted Americans, Canadians

Operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT) have arrested the gang leader that kidnapped two Americans and two Canadians in Kagarko, Kaduna State, last week.

The gang commander, Dogo Russia, was arrested on Wednesday by the IRT, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari.

The foreign nationals were kidnapped on Tuesday last week but rescued the following day. The gang, however, killed the two mobile policemen attached to the foreigners.

Russia has confessed to the killing of the mobile policemen attached to the foreign nationals and their subsequent Kidnapping.

The IRT is expected to give an update on the arrests later
