Mayorkun, a signee under DMW and the Zagadat himself  have fantastic records when it comes to musical success.

Mayorkun the Eleko crooner who was a banker got in the public eye when his cover video was spotted by Davido. He got signed to DMW in 2016. Mayorkun’s first official single ‘Eleko’ had its visuals gathering a million views in the first 10 days.

Becoming the talk of the nation, Mayorkun wrote so many songs that topped charts and he also performed in renowned concerts. Having worked on a studio project last year titled ‘ The Mayor of Lagos’ abbreviated as ‘TMOL’ Mayorkun’s hardwork payed as his album appeared on Billboard Charts peaked at number 15. Talking about his awards, Mayorkun has won seven awards of eight nominations.

Mr Eazi who was reportedly signed to Starboy Entertainment imprint made waves ever since the headlines in 2016, although he had been relevant before his fame arrived. The talented singer is known to be dating the billionaire daughter, Temi Otedola the sister to Dj Cuppy. Mr Eazi has released three albums which are “About to Blow,” “Accra to Lagos” and “Lagos to London” respectively also with alot of energetic tracks be it single or featured. This album actually talks about his obvious movement in his musical career.

Mr Eazi grew from being a mere Ghanian artiste to a global artiste winning awards and getting featured by international acts and also being shortlisted to perform in big African and world shows. He currently has won three awards of eight nominations and has furthermore bagged several endorsement deals.

Its very difficult to come up with a perfect ranking of successful music acts. It is also an uphill task to be relevant as consistency is one of the criteria for relevance in the Nigerian music scene. These artistes have been consistent and have displayed their effectiveness, I think they just both deserve their crowns.
