Tekashi 6ix9ine is finally number one as he outsells travis scott’s ‘Astroworld’ by 200 Units. Tekashi 6ix9ine’s musical existence has been validated by his performance on the charts. In every beef he’s been involved with, there’s been at least one point where he brings up his numbers on the chart or the plaques he’s received.

The rapper’s debut album DUMMY BOY arrived last week after an intense, but sloppy roll-out. The project was delayed, then leaked, then added to streaming services a few days later, giving it only three days to rack up first-week sales numbers. After a “discrepancy” in Billboard’s chart count, it turns out that 6ix9ine officially has the number one album in the country.

According to HitsDailyDouble, Tekashi 6ix9ine actually took the top spot on the Billboard 200. The rapper’s latest project, DUMMY BOY beat out Travis Scott’s Astroworld by a landslide. Sources at Nielsen claim 6ix9ine took the top spot from Scott by less than 200 units. It’s also reported that Billboard printed Scott at #1 although there was an email exchange with both parties saying they’d switch out Scott for 6ix9ine.

As of now, the Billboard 200 still shows the result of the Dec. 1st chart.
Despite the minor discrepancy dethroning Travis Scott, the rapper still legitamately has the number one song in the country with “SICKO MODE.” The song marks Travis Scott’s first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 after several weeks of flirting with the top position.
