Gigo Dimitrov, a professional tennis player from Bulgaria, said that he jots down at least three things that have happened during the day, he should be grateful for. This allows him to keep a positive mentality no matter what has occurred during the day.

Robert Emmons who is the world leader when it comes to gratitude revealed that people who show compassion are physically and mentally fit. They enjoy having good health, more energy, determination and they are more optimistic.

The Hope programme was started by a team of Coventry University and Hope for the Social Community to develop positive psychology among people. The program is attended by people who have cancer, autism, multiple sclerosis and other long-term diseases.

The programme helps people appreciate the benefits of positive psychology. Moreover, people get to learn about the benefits of practising gratitude. Some of these people who attend this programme face a lot of limitations, but through the power of gratitude, they can face anything.
