Twitter Without Notice Takes Down Kanye West’s Tweet Containing Links To His Album

G.O.O.D Music Artist, Kanye west released his ‘YE’ album yesterday (June 1) following the listening party on thursday night at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was attended by members of the G.O.O.D. Music family, his close friends and some media personalities.

The seven song album is getting a mixed reaction at the moment but Kanye West albums usually take some time to grow on you so we’d have to wait and see what the verdict is. Kanye’s approach of promoting his album on his Twitter account has somehow not gone too well with the company, however.

Kanye tweeted links to his album a few hours ago which have now been taken down by Twitter. The tweet contained Spotify, iTunes and TIDAL links to Ye which is unavailable to view now as it has been taken down. If you go to his account, you will get a “This Tweet from @kanyewest has been withheld in response to a report from the copyright holder” message. See screenshot below;

The reason behind why Twitter considered links to the artist’s own album as a copyright violation is unknown at the moment. We have reached out to Twitter for a comment on the matter.
