While the hype behind Pusha T and Drake’s beef is sizzling down after Push declared the end to their feud, we’re sure if Drake decided to release a response to “The Story of Adidon,” it would go viral in a matter of seconds. Drake has commented on his use of blackface in the “Adidon” cover but he strategically left out everything else that his rival rhymed in the song. No mention of his alleged baby, his affiliation to Adidas or the threats against his producer and friend, Noah “40” Shebib. With no signs of the beef continuing, Pusha is speaking out about the W he took and giving his thoughts on the potential reasons Drizzy didn’t respond.
In a new interview with GQ, Pusha said he does not view Drake’s explanation for his use of blackface to be valid, citing that it made him uncomfortable when he saw the image. With a “career-ending” diss track stashed away, now reportedly in Martin Shkreli’s possession, Pusha gave his thoughts on why J Prince urged the Canadian not to release the reply. “You know, I don’t know. I just feel like if there was something that was beneficial for either of those two guys, they would do it.” The “Santeria” artist continued, “I think they’re into doing anything that’s beneficial for them. I don’t want to call them scared. I just want to say that they’re thinking. They’re doing what’s best for them.”
Noting that he enjoyed the heat of their battle while it lasted, Pusha seems to genuinely believe that the feud is over for the time being. Read Full Interview Here.
