[BREAKING]: JOHESU: Nigerian Health Workers Suspend Nationwide Strike

The Nigerian health workers under the aegis of the Joint Health Sector Unions and Assembly of Healthcare Professionals (JOHESU) have decided to suspend its nine-day-old strike.

ChannelsTv reports that the union resolved to call off its industrial action after a nine-hour meeting with the federal government in Abuja on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

According to the national chairman of the union, Biobelemoye Josiah, the strike has been suspended “in principle”, as a NEC meeting of the union will be held on Tuesday to take the final decision.

Literally, it means the members of the union across the country will have to wait till Wednesday before they can resume after a meeting of its executive members to ratify the decision on Tuesday.

Details later…
