#DeadlineDay: Chelsea Signs Drinkwater

Chelsea have confirmed the successful signing of Danny Drinkwater from Leicester on deadline day.

Drinkwater was instrumental in Leicester’s title winning season and will join Chelsea for £35 million.

The midfielder made over 200 appearances for Leicester and scored only 14 goals. He signed a five-year deal with the blues.

“I’m delighted to be a Chelsea player and can’t wait to get started,” Drinkwater said.

“It has been a long journey to get here but I am very happy and am looking forward to helping the club win more trophies.”
