Truck driver dies, motor boy injured in Ogun auto accident

The driver of an articulated vehicle was, yesterday, trapped in his truck until he died, while his motor boy sustained injuries in an accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The incident, involving a Diesel truck with number plates AJN 251 XA, reportedly occurred at about 6.40p.m. at Ogere axis, inbound Ibadan, opposite the proposed Mile 12 Market.
It was learned that the vehicle overtook another, swerved into a ditch, spilling its contents. The driver was trapped inside the truck, while the motor boy was injured before the arrival of law enforcement agents, who took the victims to Idera Hospital, Iperu Remo, and the body handed over to the truck owner in the presence of Police officers.
Officials of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, FRSC and Police were on ground for the rescue exercise and trans-loaded the content.
The incident was confirmed by TRACE image-maker, Babatunde Akinbiyi.
