Seydou Doumbia Joins Sporting Lisbon On Loan From Roma

Sporting Lisbon have announced the loan signing of Roma forward Seydou Doumbia.

The Portuguese club also have the option to make the transfer permanent at the end of Doumbia’s season-long stay at the club.

Ivory Coast international Doumbia, who spent last term at Basle, told the club’s official website: “It is a great pleasure to have arrived at this great club.

“I am very happy because I arrived a few days ago and was very welcomed by everyone.

“I do not want to create false expectations but I have not come to spend holidays and I will prepare myself in the best way, in this pre-season, and after that it will soon be seen.”
