John O’Shea Signs New One-year Contract With Sunderland
New Sunderland boss Simon Grayson has announced that defender John O’Shea has signed a new one-year contract.
Simon Grayson announced the news at his introductory press conference on Friday, having been confirmed as the new Black Cats boss on Thursday evening.
Sunderland have lost Jordan Pickford, Jermain Defoe and Fabio Borini since they were relegated from the Premier League.
O’Shea’s contract expired in the summer but he has decided to stay at the Stadium of Light and try to help Sunderland bounce straight back into the top flight.
The 36-year-old is a tremendously experienced performer, having won the Premier League five times during a long and trophy-laden stint with Manchester United.
Simon Grayson has confirmed the club have agreed a new one-year deal with John O'Shea.
